Started my own club: MDJunior. We teach students the different opportunities the medical field offers. Using a unique service-learning methodology for empowering youth in health, MDJunior is able to address pressing community health problems. We engage middle school, high school, and college students collaboratively through social enterprise.

Member of the STEM Teen Board; started an initiative that gained interest from more than 600 students. This initiative raised over 30k dollars in one month which helps the cause of educating the public about the importance of STEM education. This initiative is like a scholarship that gives money to the best applicant and also gives money to the board.

TGen research on identifying disease-specific cellular phenotype for the development of HTS screening assay to identify novel therapies.

Research with ASU Professor on studying models for PTSD by investigating the mechanisms underlying fear memory formation, extinction, and reconsolidation.

I have my own medical blog which I started a year ago. I have 11k subscribers and over 500k site visits. My average views per article are 6k. I do all of this with no marketing techniques!

wow! very impressive and cohesive high school career you’ve had. I think 2 things to consider explaining in your college app are why you’re interested in the medical field and why UPenn is the best place for your ambitions (prolly mention in your essays). I think then it’ll be very hard to reject you.

Make sure you show demonstrated interest at WashU. Visit if you can.

I have shown demonstrated interest for both schools. I have attended a summer program at WashU and I am in contact with my admission officers for both schools. I don’t think I will be able to visit WashU though.
