<p>Why I feel I am qualified:
-Passionate about my singing (have been singing ever since I was two and before I could walk even- used to sing to The Jungle Book :)) and I have learned other instruments to complement what I feel is a big part of my life- plus I don't see many Indians who actually have a basis in singing so it kind of singles me out (congrats on any others who have a passion for it-both classical and contemporary)
-Dedicated and brought up in a life of medicine (both my parents are physicians and I was born with a debilitating medical problem that has allowed me to see close-up the medical world and has given me a sense of empathy in helping other people with problems like I was able to be rescued- part of an FDA medical trial as we speak).
-I feel as if I have decent statistics and I try to put my all into the work I do- I really have a love for biology and the sciences because all of the concepts of physics, chemistry, and biology just seem to fascinate me in how our whole world has been created/produced and everything in it).
*I don't want to sound arrogant at all, these are things I just really believe in and what make me unique.</p>

<p>Desi guys in choir!</p>

<p>x2 Shwincity</p>

<p>More power to you!</p>

<p>You've got a shot everywhere.</p>

<p>Haha thanks man! That's great that you like singing too. We are basically one of a kind</p>

<p>anyone else?</p>

<p>UPenn (1)- Maybe Fit
Indiana University (Bloomington) (2) - Fit
University of Louisville (G.E.M.S.) (1)*- Fit
Duke (2)- Low Reach
University of Kentucky Accelerated BA/MD Program (2) - Fit
WashU (maybe USP) (1)- Low Reach
Harvard (2)- Reach
Princeton (2) - Reach
Yale (2)- Reach
Northwestern HPME (1) - Low Reach</p>

<p>chance my thread too.</p>

<p>any other opinions? Sorry for making it kinda long...</p>

<p>bump any opinons?</p>

<p>bump any more?</p>

<p>You will only get into Harvard sorry....
jk you sound very interesting I wouldn't be surprised if you got into everyone you apply too.</p>

<p>I don't know.. Your scores are fine, and grades are fine. Successful applicants have probably 13 APs though. Your EC's i'm unsure of. You have so many random EC's. You sing, play sports, have leadership positions in clubs/humanities, do science, and music, and acting, and latin competitions, and governor's cup. You don't have that many in-depth EC's that really show devotion.</p>

<p>I think your chances are fairly good though, since you managed to list so much.</p>

<p>I project HPME Reject</p>

<p>Well, I think first off you need to trim away the fat from your EC's, for instance, instead of outlining every award you've gotten with the governor's cup, you could just say 'governor's cup awards, 11 and 12' and things like 'honors program in high school' could be left out. Overall though, I think you stand a decent shot at most of your schools, good luck.</p>

<p>hey maoskillkid thanks for such an insightful, thoughtful reply...:(</p>

<p>I'd say you have a good shot at all, even HYP, though they are definitely less certain. Those BA/MD programs are fairly random, so I'm not sure there (where HPME is concerned).</p>

</p>

<p>lol</p>

<p>To the OP: I think you'll get into most of the schools you apply to. HYP are iffy, as they are for everyone, but you have a great shot nonetheless. Your essays will be the deciding factor, I think.</p>

<p>Bumpy bump</p>

<p>An Indian that doesn't go to Manual! What school do you go to -St. X, Trinity, KCD, I'm guessing (since most of the public schools are really big?)</p>

<p>13 APs for a successful applicant? LMFAO</p>

<p>i go to KCD</p>
