Chance me for UT Austin?

Alright, so i'm a junior in high school, and am looking into colleges, i have a poor GPA so i would like to know my chances for UT Austin

Can most likely get pretty good recommendations, so just curious as to where do i stand.

What is your rank?

24-30 percent

If you’re instate you’ll probably get in because of your SAT score; if you’re OOS you might be out of luck

holy **** that’s one heck of a resume, but yea i think you really do have a good chance of getting into UT-Austin. i would say you write about your GPA and why it’s low in your college essay though!

With that SAT score, I think you will :)

Dont reatake for a 2400 20 extra points will not matter.

You’re in at UT-Dallas with a 2380 (I mean, UTD auto-admit policy asks for 1200 CR+M or 26 on the ACT or top 15%) but UT-Austin auto-admission policy is exclusively rank-based.

I think that you have a good chance of getting in with your ECs and SAT score, but your class rank/GPA is a little low. I think for this year the automatic admission (for in-staters) requires that you’re in the top 8% of your class. Next year it goes down to the top 7%. After all of the students who fit this criteria are admitted, they will then fill up the spots they have left according to various other factors. Good luck! :)

UT Austin places a lot of importance on class rank. I would suggest you look at other schools.

My son is a NMSF with a 219. He scored higher on the SAT th in all sections. He has 750+ on SAT Subject Tests. Four 5s and one 4 on AP Tests in junior year. A total of 11+ AP courses and 11+ Honors courses. His class rank is 26%. He has not been accepted and he is a Hispanic.
