<p>Have taken all honors courses, four years of each subject (math, english, science, foreign lang) and will have taken four APs total: Euro, Stat, Spanish and English.</p>
<p>Extracurriculars: Member of National Honor Society, active member of parish youth group, student mentor in program where seniors act as leaders for freshman, founded community service club that helps a local soup kitchen, member of a separate youth service group that runs through the same soup kitchen, tutored middle school students, interned at a magazine subscription fulfillment database company over the summer, have a part-time job as hostess at a restaurant, weekly library volunteer and I take weekly piano lessons. Also in addition to running track, I help work track meets held at home and assist with leading/organizing middle school and elementary school track meets. I'm also joining DECA this year but that's just to compete for fun.</p>
<p>Leadership positions: Elected student mentor for transfer students, and founder/leader of my community service club, team captain of fundraiser at my high school</p>
<p>Athletics: Sprinter for both Winter and Spring Division 1 Track & Field, a mix of running in JV and varsity meets. I went to State Relays twice</p>
<p>Volunteer/Service Work: Volunteer work through church: assisting/serving at multiple parish events every year and helping out with a local homeless shelter. I also volunteer at a local library weekly, was a former weekly animal shelter volunteer for 6 months, and I volunteer at the soup kitchen my club assists. This year I'm taking a service learning class where we will be doing community service in a neighboring community. Probably have at least 300 hours</p>
<p>Honors and Awards: I've received high honors (unweighted GPA of 3.7) every term every year. I'm a member of the National Honor Society, which has very high standards for membership. Underclassmen awards given to me by my school: excellence in Project Challenge (trust building-based gym class), English (twice), World Civilizations, Physics, Bioethics, and AP Statistics. I also received the "High Five" award twice in gym for outstanding character and sportsmanship</p>
<p>Soooo what do you guys think? Applying ED and to Peabody should hopefully give me a bit more of a chance, unless I'm mistaken?</p>
