Chance me for various liberal arts places, please!

cons: white/asian female from NJ

input would be great! oi, this is so awkward. i feel like im exposed to the world. CC is so addicting!

You have a good chance at all of the schools...however, admissions are so unpredictable......

I agree. You're a really strong student, so your chances of getting in everywhere are pretty good. The only one that you probably have lesser chances at is Williams. I know people who got into Yale and Princeton and didn't get into Williams.

Great chances at all schools, though I agree about Williams. That SAT I is amazing, BTW!

haha, thanks! the math part of my SATI went up 130 pts when I took it the second time- i was really happy. I studied hard for it.

oh, and thanks for the encouragement! I've been really pessimistic this week about it all (cuz i keep hearing about these great students getting rejected/deferred), but i had been stupidly optimistic in the beginning. so... im waffling. thanks for the input. I was actually considering not applying to williams for that reason...

and, well, basically im bumping this post. haha.

bump

cuz i didn't get a letter from BC today (like i was expecting) and am now nervous as heck.

im bumping. again. how sad is that?
but im taking a break from polishing up my apps, so it's understandable.

btw, my essay is only mediocre. it ends kind of preachy... and one rec is very good and the other two i don't know.

Colgate and Holy Cross offer good combination of academics/athletics. HC is SAT optional.

well, that's random. Holy cross was on my list for a while, tho. it got cut. anything else?

So, are you a junior or a senior? Your academic profile is obviously very strong and stands on its own merits. But, if you are a junior and interested in running track in college you ought to contact the track and cross country coaches to see if they would support your application. This is especially true for the DIII schools; Williams, Midd, Pomona, etc. Good Luck

im a senior. my semester grades are not that good. probably a B+ average. (i know, i know, it's really just this one teacher that's bringing me down and i don't know what to do!)

but i finally sent ALL the apps in. so im bumping. cuz im nervoussss

i'm in contact with most of the coaches, but im not a priority on their list.

oh, and im in BC, so you don't need to chance that, if you don't feel like it.

gah. so nervous. it's completely out of my control after friday. (end of semester) and mostly out of my control now.

my semester grades are in...

and i just want to bump this cuz my friend got into EDII at my top choice school (middlebury - I didn't apply there early cuz of some financial issues).

anyway, A-'s all around except for Jewelry, which was an A.

ps. will jewelry look bad on my transcript? it's the only non-academic course I've taken in all 4 years. I take AP Latin, AP German, adv. Physics, AP Calc AB, world lit./shakespeare, World religions, and jewelry

why not amherst on your list?

i visited williams, middlebury, and amherst on the same weekend. Amherst just didn't give off the right vibe in the town and on campus. My list was much too long at that point, so I cut it. It just wasn't quite what I was looking for, particularly in terms of setting.
