I plan on applying to Villanova and BC EA at the beginning of next year and if I get into both I won't apply to any other schools other than Lehigh. These are my three top choices.

School Type: Public
Location: NY
Race/Gender: Asian Female
Prospective Major: Accounting or Finance
Final GPA: 3.87/4
Likely in top 10% (not really sure. I'm really on the fence for my class)

SAT: 1980 (taken in one sitting with no prep; taking again in October with prep)
Math: 720
CR: 590
Writing: 670 (8 essay)

SAT IIs
Math Level 1: 720
Math Level 2: 720
Chemistry: 750

ECs
-peer tutoring
-select choir (junior and senior year; we sing at community events and at homes for the elderly)
-participated in high school musicals for 3 years (I plan on doing so my senior year as well)
-donate to/work with orphans in Bangladesh
-volunteer at public library
-voice lessons
-choirs outside of school

Awards/Honors
-qualified for the National Merit Scholarship
-NHS
-Mu Alpha Theta
-Music Honor Society
-French Honor Society
-History Honor Society

First of all, your unweighted GPA is fine for all the schools. Your WEIGHTED GPA, which you haven’t given, would be more important as it determines rigor of coursework. You’ve probably read this numerous times on the site, but it bears repeating: a 3.87 in an AP/Honor courseload is great, but a 3.87 in a CP or Regular coursework isn’t particularly outstanding.

Obviously, the 720 in Math means you’re good at it, so I’d focus more on boosting your writing and reading up, or take the ACT and score above a 31 on it. It’s a lot easier than the SAT if you’re inclined to practical fact-based questions as opposed to analytical questions. I got a 2100 on a practice SAT but a 34 on the ACT- it shows how radically different they score. And, because all colleges you’ll be applying to accept them with equal weight, you’ll be fine.

EC’s are good enough.

Here’s my take if you do nothing as of now:

Villanova: ED Safety, RD Match
Lehigh: ED/RD Match
BC: ED Safety, RD Reach

If you can get your SAT above 2100 with a 700 or more on each section, then Lehigh and Villanova become safeties, and BC becomes a Match.

Wow, those are my exact top 3 choices too.

BC seems to place an emphasis on GPA, which you seem to have. Your SAT is a bit low for that school. Their 25%-75% is 1930-2150 so you may want to consider bringing that up to 2050+ to improve your chances.

You have a very good chance of getting into Villanova, but like I said, and this also applies to Lehigh, improve your SAT score, especially the CR part, to really increase your chances.

Lehigh doesn’t consider Writing, so your score would be 1310, again just a bit lower than you’d like. For this one, show interest if you like the school. They place a strong emphasis on demonstrated interest.

I’d say Lehigh is a match for you, Villanova would be slightly easier to get into and BC would be slightly more difficult. Best of luck and the best advice I can give you now is to boost up the SAT to 2100 if possible, and continue taking a difficult course load.
