<p>I was considering applying to the Viterbi school of Engineering. I was wondering if my stats are sufficient...</p>

<p>Asian Male, MA resident.</p>

<p>SAT: 2190 (750CR 770M 670W)
SAT II: MathII 760 Chem 780 Phys 760
AP: Statistics 5 CalcAB Chem</p>

<p>GPA: 4.1 weighted. school doesn't give unweighted. Probably around 3.5.
Rank: Top 10%</p>

<p>EC: Track, XC, some math tutoring thing, some recess volunteer thing</p>

<p>I'm mainly concerned that my low UW GPA and low writing score will bring up red flags.</p>

<p>You don’t appear to have anything that really sets you apart from the pack. Go into the admissions office and you could find a thousand applicants just like you.</p>

<p>You will be a senior next year right? Do something interesting, something that shows leadership, or community involvement, or charity work, or preferably all three. Your SAT score should be fine, and there really isn’t much you can do about your GPA at this point, so focus on what you can improve.</p>

<p>Well just exaggerate your activities and emphasize how they are unique and worth noting if its too late to add anything new</p>

<p>Yeah I think your GPA is the only thing that’s holding you back. Write really good essays and I think you stand a shot.</p>

<p>Just how hard is it to get into Viterbi?</p>

<p>^ Dean Yorstos said that the average SATs and GPAs were significantly higher than those in other schools, I dont remember the exact numbers but Id imagine them to be maybe 10% higher? Maybe someone here can verify this</p>

<p>^This doesnt say how many people actually applied to viterbi tho right - just how many admits are viterbi admits. Is there anything on Viterbi admit SATs / GPA online?</p>
