william and mary is in my top three schools and i’m super worried i won’t get in. i’m out of state, and these are my stats:
out of state (tragically)
wgpa: 4.73 (should go up once first semester ends)
act: 32
volunteer hours: 200+
ap’s: gov (5), us history (5), bio (4), chem (3), lang (5), world history (5), and currently psych, environmental science, euro, lit, and calc bc
extracurriculars: president of my amnesty international student chapter, co-president of empowher (feminist club), and student director (highest student position) for my school’s rock and roll music production. i’m also in national, science, history, and english honor society.
i’ve also done a two week program at duke university through dukeTIP, where i did a field studies research project on lemurs at the duke lemur center. furthermore i had an internship over the summer at the national museum of natural history working on a project studying the health effects on captive primates by looking at their bones.
i want to study biology, but my application makes it very clear that i am not at all interested in pre-med–instead i want to study evolutionary biology.
i know this is kind of a word dump, i don’t use college confidential much, but if anyone could help chance me that would be much appreciated! thanks to anyone in advance
