*Attended NYLC in Washington, D.C. fall of 10th grade year

Please be honest and tell me what I need to improve! Also, do you think it looks bad that I took two arts classes my junior year? Is this a deal breaker? All my classes senior year will be IB level.

Also, I meant to say chance me for Northwestern too!

Wake Forest- in
UNC - in
UVA- small reach, but only because you’re OOS
W&M - match
Vanderbelt - match? I don’t really know enough to say actually…
Cornell - medium reach

Mainly, I would just suggest taking the SAT again. Your grades and ECs are good, but your SAT scores are kind of low for all those schools. If you can get those up your chance would definitely improve.

Oh as far as the art classes question… that definitely doesn’t look bad, expecially since they were honors. In fact, I would say that it looks better. Schools like to see students engage themselves in lots of different activities, and that includes taking art classes.

Your chances at all these colleges is fantastic. Try the ACT out and see how you do… If you do well your into every one of these

Thanks so much! I’m hopefully getting an SAT tutor so I can be prepared for the fall SAT but if that doesn’t work out I will try the ACT.

Considering SAT scores: (Everything else looks great. I have heard of cases where high GPA/rank is watered down due to sub-par SAT scores. Get them up to at least 2150, and your chances to reach schools go up drastically. My opinion anyways.)
Wake Forest- In
UNC - In
UVA- Small Reach
Vanderbilt - High Reach
Northwestern- Crapshoot (Most likely no)
Cornell - Crapshoot (Almost postive no)
