Chance me for...well...ANYTHING

Basically, I'm one of those kids who's looking to be able to get into any college that isn't a laughing stock in my state or that isn't too expensive out of state.

I did a lot of screwing up with bad grades and bad choices my first two years of high school and really turned it around this past year with a solid junior year.

State: North Carolina
Grade: Upcoming Senior

GPA: 3.29 (All Honors Classes, 2 AP's So far with a 3 and a 4)
SAT: 600 Reading, 550 Math, 630 Writing
EC's: - Member of countless clubs
- 4 year letterman, 1 year captain of the school Swim Team
- Volunteer and Camp Counselor for my church
- Summer Swim Team Coach
Schools: I'm looking at UNC Charlotte, East Carolina, App State, or schools like that if anyone is familiar with the North Carolina system and understands the quality of the schools.
Biggest Problem: Honor Code Violation

My aspirations as far as college aren't high because I just want to get in somewhere that isn't embarrassing, and I know I look bad...no...really bad on paper. I really am a bright kid and writing is my best talent but I didn't apply myself much in school up until my junior year. I got caught up with the wrong kids and didn't apply myself at first and I have so many regrets that have left me with a high level of stress over my mistakes.

I hope you guys think I can at least get in to a school that is somewhat close to my aspirations.

Try the College of Charleston. It’s in NC, it’s respectable, not too selective, and the tuition is only $21,019 (for residents).

First off all do some yoga or something because you shouldn’t be that stressed! You shouldn’t be filled with regret over stuff in high school! It’s only high school. We’re all only teenagers. It doesn’t mean that you can’t do whatever you want to do with your life! And a lot of people say what you did in high school really doesnt matter, it what you achieve in college. And even more than that if you plan on going to graduate school thats going to mean more to people that where you did your undergrad.

If you’re staying in state I feel like anything is possible. At least that’s how it is in most states. In my state you need a 2.5 A TWO POINT FREAKING FIVE to get into one of the state schools. You have everything you need to get into your state schools. For out of state just go to CollegeBoard and do a college search to find matches for you and find schools where your scores and gpa are in their range! Good luck!!! (:

UNC you can for sure. you are in state
