Chance me for Wellesley College??? (and a couple others)

Hi! I’m a junior right now, and my top choice for college is Wellesley.
Except, I feel like it might be a bit of a reach…?
Could someone please chance me? Thank you!

Gender: female

AP govt: A, A, 5
Hnr Algebra 2: A, A
Hnr English 9: A, A
Hnr Chemistry: A, A
Hnr Biology 9: A, A

11th grade taking:
AP World History, AP Physics 1, AP Calculus AB, Hnr. French 5, Hnr. Symphonic Orchestra, AP English Lang, and Foundations for Technology (not honors). I have a strong feeling my grades are going to plummet, unfortunately, as of now… but hopefully not below a B?

12th grade schedule for classes:
AP Biology (or maybe AP Physics C), AP Calculus BC, AP French, Hnr. Symphonic Orchestra, AP English Lit., and Yoga.

Weighted GPA: 4.72
Unweighted GPA: 3.5
I just took the SAT for October so I don’t know yet…
SAT II US history: 760
Math 2: 760
Chemistry: 670 (taking it again in November)
I have around 250 service hours right now (due to numerous and random activities…)
Extra-curricular (off the top of my head):

  • intend on 4 years in high school science olympiad, has been officer in 10th and 11th, aiming for a position again in 12th. Also separate awards for this in state and regional tournaments (should that be added???)
  • intend on 4 years of an orchestra outside of school; first chair in 10th and 11th in Wind Ensemble, aiming for it again next year
  • 4 years of private lessons? (can this be added?)
  • 1 volunteer club aimed to help a specific shelter in Mexico (VP) from 11th
  • 1 volunteer club aimed to help families stay near hospitalized children in homes near those hospitals (Pres.) from 11th
  • school Quizbowl/ It's Academic/ etc. team since 10th
  • (when inducted this year) School's NHS, French Honor Society, and Music Honor Society (maybe Science too, but I don't know yet)
  • finalist in a competition in 9th grade year; hopefully this year and next year (if I get around to it, haha..ha...)
  • intend 4 years of acceptance to flute choir at another orchestra

I’ve also been a part of a “special” program at my high school dubbed Advanced Placement Experience since freshman year, but hardly any colleges know about it. I don’t think this would be considered an EC, but… well, I’ll just put it here. And also the “special” science program at my school…

Of course, I haven’t written any sort of essay yet, but I quite like writing so I don’t think it’ll be bad…? Teacher recommendations should be good too (I don’t remember doing anything terrible in any of my classes…) On a side note, is it a “plus” if neither of your parents have gone to college/ university in the US?

I don’t think there’s anything else… But I guess I’ll just add some other colleges I’m interested in (pretty tentative though)

Safety:
University of Maryland College Park (definitely applying)
Penn State University
University of Maryland Baltimore County

Match:
??? What does this mean??? I don’t know what a “match” school would be like for me

Reaches:
Wellesley College
College of William and Mary
Boston College
Amherst College
Bryn Mawr College
Washington University of St. Louis

Super-reach-no-I-shall-never-be-accepted-but-it’d-be-kinda-cool:
University of Chicago

Thanks for taking the time to read this (horridly) long and (utterly) boring chance me! I’m sorry if I’m being vague, but I’ll try to update if/when new information comes in or I remember something.

if you keep your grades up, and your application is good overall, then you have a solid chance at Wellesley and BC and Amherst! Chance me back?

@collegelover77 Thank you so much for your reply! I’ll try to do that.
I’ll try my best to chance you (but I might not be very knowledgeable)

Keep your grades up, and I think you’ll be set academically for any of those schools.

I’d try to focus in on one of your EC’s and really excel in it. Take it past the Ec, and expand. Add your own personal twist to them. Make them even more special than they already are. That’s going to give you the edge into the top schools you want to attend. In terms of stats, you’re definitely what most schools are looking for.

Chance me back?

@Mchichioco Thank you so much!!! I really do hope so…

Hmm, I really tried to change up some things for my volunteer clubs, since they’re not just the trope-y clubs of bakesale-fundraiser-bakesale-fundraiser but I’ll keep that in mind.
Sure! But I might not know too much.

Update: SAT scores
Reading: 770
Math: 770
Writing: 700

Intent is to retake to nudge up the writing grade so that it’s ~750-ish?
