THANK YOU FOR READING THIS FAR  This school has always been my dream, and to attend would truly change my whole life, and hopefully, some of you can provide your insights and give me some pragmatism in regards to what i’m looking at. Thanks again!!

Nice amount of AP classes. GPA is low but you took many AP classes. ACT is above average and your EC’s are average. Try to bring up subject tests to 720. Write good essays and I say you will have a decent shot in getting in. Good luck!

I disagree with @bearsfan about your EC’s being only “average”. The fact that you are taking a rigorous course schedule (17 APs by graduation!), with plenty of school and community service EC’s, and you are working at Home Depot and Seasonal Christmas work is impressive. You clearly like to challenge yourself to do your best, which is something you have in common with a lot of accepted Wellesley students.

Coming from AZ, and having Hispanic background, also helps - perhaps enough to offset the lower GPA.

You are also smart enough to know that with a 19% acceptance rate, Wellesley is rejecting more and more very qualified candidates every year.

If somehow you find that you don’t get into Wellesley, you will undoubtedly have a number of other great choices, and you will do well wherever you end up. Best of luck to you!

@3puppies Thank you! That positivity really is soothing my sometimes rampant angst and I appreciate you!

@bearsfan21 a) I hope that means the Chicago Bears because I’m a big fan and REAL bitter about the season opener! Yet I digress…
b) I likely won’t submit my SAT Subject tests then, and I appreciate your feedback! Thanks for taking the time!

I’m also from Arizona, so I’m rooting for you! You have impressive ECs and a good course load. Make sure you request an interview. I think you’re smart to apply early decision.
