Chance Me for William and Mary & UVA

I am an in-state male who actually goes to a virtual school. It is a rigorous program, and I have also completed two courses at a community college (something William and Mary recommends). I have performed exceptionally in all of my subjects, and I don't think W&M and UVA can defer/reject me because of my schooling situation. Honestly, I went to a virtual school because the curricula at my local schools were lacking. Also, I am perfectly covered for finances, so no financial aid needed.

GPA: UW - 4.0 W - 4.4
SAT I: Math - 740, Writing - 730, CR - 650; Composite - 2120; M+CR - 1390
SAT II: Math level I - 750, Chemistry - 730, US History - 740
AP Tests: US History - 5, English Lit and Comp - 4, English Lang - 4, Chemistry - 4, Latin - 5

Teacher recs: Very good, I believe. My advanced Chem teacher (who oversees the AP chem test) said I was an MIT-level scholar in the field of science, and my lit teacher said I was the best in a very talented class. Also have good rec from Advanced Algebra teacher...

So, there you have it. Do I even stand a shot at attending William and Mary or UVA? Thanks in advance!

I don’t see how you could be rejected by either school. Best of luck.

UVA and W&M are both very selective, but you are definitely in good shape. I don’t think the virtual school is a problem at all since you have a lot of good ecs, so you’re not lacking social/leadership skills or anything. You have excellent chances regardless, but where you live in VA could also impact chances. If you live outside of NOVA or VA Beach, you have (slightly) better chances than in those two regions. I didn’t apply to UVA but W&M is one of my top choices  Good Luck!

^^Thanks for your response!

^Also, thank you so much! I live outside of No.Va and VA beach, so apparently that is a good thing. I’m pretty much in the center of the state, 1 hour east of Roanoke. A lot of my table tennis tournaments are there. :)

Good luck to you too! Maybe we’ll see each other there if we get accepted!
