How did you do on ap physics 1 exam?
Tech doesn’t have ED but you should apply EA. In or out of state?
SAT and GPA are a little low, especially if u r OOS.
I didn’t take the physics 1 exam
Tech is a reach for you and although you are competitive enough to apply, you are unlikely to get in as an out of state applicant. A 1430 won’t hold you back, assuming it’s reasonably balanced score, but you have below average grades in a curriculum that is easier than most accepted freshman pursue. Your ECs seem solid and you have some leadership experience through robotics, but nothing that you posted comes off as outshining the comparatively low grades and less rigorous curriculum you pursued. Note that I’m assuming the 89 GPA means you made a lot of Bs. If you just made a lot of low As and only have a few Bs, that would make for a slightly stronger application, especially if your have As in your AP coursework and the Bs were from early in your high school career.
If you really like Tech, it’s worth the application if you are committed to working hard to sell yourself through the essays. I’m assuming writing may not be your strong suit based solely on your choice not to take any AP English coursework. If that’s true, I would suggest getting lots of feedback from teachers and adults you know to be good writers. Remember that the point of the essays is to write well and demonstrate thoughtfulness while letting that admissions get to authentically know who you are as a person. The point is not to rehash things they can already glean from other parts of the application. If you can’t sell yourself through the essays, I don’t see the profile you posted as likely to be successful for admission to Tech. There are simply going to be a lot of other out of state students with better numbers and equal or better ECs.
