<p>I really don’t think your ECs are that great. You seem to have honor society stuff, which everyone else has and colleges don’t particularly care about, and other clubs that aren’t that substantial. Restarting Chess Club is great, but I really don’t think it’s that noteworthy.</p>
<p>However, if you really want to go ED Georgia Tech, which you will probably get in, you don’t have to worry as I don’t think Georgia Tech really cares.</p>
<p>I’m not sure what being valedictorian has anything to do with ECs. Most of the time, they aren’t picked based on what they do outside of grades. At my school, the only thing my valedictorian seems to do is Math club and violin. And he’s white too. Haha.</p>

<p>I know the UCs legally can’t use ethnicity as a factor in there considerations of applicants due to Prop. 209. Other schools technically shouldn’t be able to use ethnicity as a factor, but if you feel that being asian will make your chances lower, just leave the bubble blank, most colleges don’t “guess” your ethnicity by any other means, such as your name. Skimmer is wrong that being asian is an anti-hook.</p>

<p>After speaking to my counselor, she assured to me that my school was in fact unweighted, giving me a 3.94 instead of the 3.4 i had originally though. Also she said that the colleges I will apply to will look at the GPA on my transcript(the 3.94)</p>

<p>Your scores are a bit low for many of the schools on your list. ED will help you, but maybe not enough. Definitely add a safety or two. If you can get a higher ACT or SAT score though, you should be in at your top choices.
