Chance me *Gulp*

I'm really scared that I might not get in. I hear that only top 12% students can get into UC Merced. I really want to go here, though, since it is new and all. I have no good ExtraCirriculars or foreign languages.

GPA: 4.0 Unweighted, 4.7 weighted
Rank: 1/654
SAT: 2310 (Just retook it today.)
SAT 2s:
Chemistry: 790
European History: 760
English Literature: 740

APs: Biology, Chemistry, Physics B, AP Physics C (Summer course) European History, U.S. History, Calculus BC, English Language, English Literature, Statistics, MacroEconomics, MicroEconomics.

4s on Physics C, European History, and English Literature, 5s on all of the rest.

ECs:
Boy Scout ranked First Class
Out of the closet Atheist
Yellow belt Tae-Kwon Do, been doing it for 10 months.
Level 3 Pianist
High Honor Roll

Level 138 on RuneScape (99 Attack, defense, Strength, Summoning, and Prayer)

Ranked in the top 350 in total level.

Level 87 FireMaking
Level 93 Cooking
Level 95 WoodCutting
Level 98 Fletching
Level 70 Magic
Level 72 Ranged
Level 73 Farming

Your Level 138 in RuneScape makes you a lock!

Troll.

There are people who ARE actually worried about getting into schools who have acceptance rates along the lines of Merced's. Cut them some slack.

Um. don't worry about a thing. Anyone above a 3.0 gets (well, almost all). I'm guessing you could probably even get the regents scholar thing. You have a good chance at UCLA,UCB,and UCSD. It's good that you want to go Merced because of its newness and small size. I have a feeling that you're pre-med?lol

I honestly have no idea what I want to do. I just want to go to a UC, and I heard this one is the newest. I don't know much about College at all...

P.S. What is a troll?

Because of your gpa and SAT I and SAT II, if I were you, I would aim for UC's such as UCLA or UCSD.

Wow, I didn't know I was that well off even with bad ExtraCirriculars and no Foreign Language. Are LA and Berekly my max, or do I have a shot at even higher levels?

hmm..I didn't catch that part. You should ask about foreign language.

No chance for a troll.

... Slight reach... a 4.0 uw is about -1.0 below the requirement to get into UCM.

That farming level is also a little below the average accepted at UCM

Although I think your woodcutting level may decide it. Level 95 woodcutting may allow you to cut yew trees faster, hence sell more yew logs at a faster pace than the average player at UCM and therefore gain you more GP in a shorter period of time. Selling this GP for real money could get you an unofficial Runescape scholarship.

Good luck to you

i was a level 140 runescape and i got in pretty easily
all the people here are like 100's

XD

ZZZomg…I got in w/ lvl 92!!! And my woodcutting sucks. ^.^ you’re a funny dude

you will get rejected level 140 is minimum :P

I’m surprise that you didn’t take the MATH II/C for the SATII. (or is it still required for UCs). When I was a senior in high school I had a friend who had a 4.0gpa and perfects on SAT1 and SATII but didn’t take the math II/C. She didn’t get into Cal or Davis.

Personally, I’d raise your farming, ranging, fletching, firemaking, and woodcutting skills. Then, and only then, will you have a decent chance of acceptance.

Guys, this thread is over a year old…

He was already rejected since his runescape stats were lower than the average accepted.
