Please chance me for:

UCLA
UC Berkeley
UCSD
UC Davis
Uc Irvine
UCSB

Thanks in advance!

I think you can get into Davis, Irvine, Santa Barbara, and San Diego. Berkeley and LA seem really random in their selection of applicants.

I agree with the post above, but probably not UCSD as all of their admits are in the top 10% of their class.

UC evaluation is pretty basic, they look at these things in importance and order:

1) Grades and Difficulty of Courses (ELC really helps)
2) SAT score
3) Extracurricular
4) Essay

Your UW GPA is low, but your SAT is great and EC’s are solid. Probably in at all the UCs, cant say for SD, LA, and Berkeley (probably not though)

I think you can get into

UCSD
UC Davis
Uc Irvine
UCSB

I agree with Fortify, although I’m a bit unsure about UCSD–your GPA might be stretching it.

For UCLA and UC Berkeley, your SATs are okay/slightly on the low side, but your GPA is definitely too low.

Thanks for the quick replies - just wondering, do the UC admissions board ever look at what high school you are coming from? Because at some high schools, it is incredibly easy to get straight A’s, where as others, it is just on the opposite end of the scale.

what they will look at is the average GPA of that school and the star test scores…
From that they can determine if they school doles out A’s or is difficult in their grading scale

My school for instance has decent, above average overall star test scores and the mean GPA is a round 2.5ish…so typically the 15 out of 499 get into Berkeley and LA
