Economics is typically considered a social science; not a literature or humanities. I don’t think your AP exams will fulfill the NYU testing requirements.

oh that is unfortunate, but doesnt humanities encompass social science? Ah well, guess I have take another exam

Which exam would you say is the easiest to score in for lit and humanities area?

And if lets say I got a 4 for that, what would my chance be?

No, AP exams are not a substitute for SAT/ACT. Those are required. AP exams are extra.

@rsingh13

You CAN use AP exams instead of SAT or ACT exams, so long as the AP exams fall within (1) one humanity or literature, (1) one math or science and (1) subject of the applicant’s choosing.

NYU is, in fact, ‘test flexible’ - you need only go to the NYU website to find this information for yourself.

@JasonLoh

No, NYU will specifically be looking for something along the lines of a history, literature, etc. You could always call and double check with NYU admissions, but I’m pretty sure economics will not fulfill the literature or humanities category.

Oh. Sorry. 10char

Ok thanks. So assuming, lets say I took english and got a 4 maybe a 5 if i worked really hard. What would my chance be in NYU? Wont want my efforts to be wasted, studying so hard for an exam and yet still have a low chance in getting in

Also, is Human geo social science or humanities. I am under the impression that it is humanities but I have my doubts now

oh yea, my gpa is over 4 not 5. Just to clear things up

bump, please help
