You definitely seem to be on the right track. Scoring above 2200 on your SATs, above 750 on all your SAT2s, and maintaining a 3.8+ GPA would make you a candidate for most top schools. Combine that with a hispanic urm status, and it would make you a very competitive applicant. A word of warning though. Nothing guarantees admission to HPYS, any of the other Ivies or any of the top schools. They are all reaches for nearly everybody. When it comes time to apply, make sure you apply to a couple of good but less selective schools (matches) and a couple of safeties as well.

thanks amptron im really glad to hear that especially from someone who seems to have experience...

anyone else (suggestions)?

Yea youll be a National Hispanic Scholar, that's redonkk easy. I missed it by a point and I messed up my entire math because i bubbled i accidently skipped a question and it messed up my entire Scantron. I scored in the 25%tile for Math, and missed it by a point, its obscenely easy.

Yea i got commended with my 790/780/5-something PSAT scores :P. Have fun with the AMC... it's always a party. In terms of chances, I'm just a high school student and obviously not an expert, but your resume looks awesome. You'll definately get into somewhere like Hopkins, etc. Good luck!

just bumping it back up there for more of yall's wretched speculation

hey you have almost a clone of my application, im a hispanic senior with a 2200, similar stats, shooting for top colleges too. and im in long island also lol.

as a suggestion have you thought about doing some sci research for intel? from what i know about it personally (even as i write these miserable essays for it) colleges like to see focused interest (and im doing a math paper, which you might or might not be interested in). so why not give it a look. but yeah i hope youre competitive for my sake haha, i wouldnt worry too much about it i dont think. but anyway, good luck with your year, junior year is a rough one...
