<p>You're a junior, right? How do you know that you're a NM finalist? Do you mean semifinalist?</p>

<p>Obviously your stats are great. But if you're asian, your chances may drop a bit due to the higher average numbers in the applicant pool.</p>

<p>Oh you are like me. I am Korean, came to America in 3rd, 1.5 generation.</p>

<p>You definitely have strong numbers. Being first in your class is quite an achievement and your SAT scores are strong. The AP scores will help you as well. Therefore, you have a chance at every school.</p>

<p>For the schools you listed, I think you are likely to get accepted to Cornell, Dartmouth, Duke, and Johns Hopkins. You never know, but you shouldn't worry. You have a good chance at Columbia. As far as HYPSM, someone with your grades and scores has as good a chance as most other people, but I would say it is a reach for you. Being Asian hurts (it is ridiculous but true) and although you have good extracurriculars, you don't really have any huge awards and things. Do not stress out, just apply to all the schools on your list. You should easily get into half of them and the other half, once you have your credentials, is just a matter of chance. Good luck!</p>
