I've posted this before, but I wanted to elaborate a little more on my letter grades and get wide range of opinions.

In case you don't know...chance me for James Madison University? Please?

GPA: It's not calculated yet but it will definetely be a 3.5 or over.
Class Rank: Top 25%
SAT:
CR- 630
Math- 520
Writing- 580

Academics:
-I have taken 5 years of math, 4 years of English, 4 years of Social Studies/ History, 4 years of Spanish, 4 years of Science (3 years with a lab), 4 years Theatre and Arts Electives, 2 years of P.E.,1 year of a community service elective, and 1 year of an academic elective.
-Of the above I have taken all Honors and 6 APs (AP U.S. History, AP English Language, AP Psychology, AP English Literature, AP Government, AP Statistics)
-I have recieved A's and B's in 23/29 (3 C pluses, 2 C's, and a D plus) classes. However my school is on a different, stricter grading scale than all of our surrounding counties and the colleges so if they re-calculate my grades, I have recieved A's and B's in 26/29 (3 C's) classes. All of my bad grades have been in math courses or science courses that include a lot of math. Math isn't my strong point and I'm applying as an English major so hopefully they'll notice that correlation and cut me some slack. Also this first semester will be all A's and B's so I'm hoping that they'll see that I've improved. At the same time, I read on JMU's website that "competitive applicants have mostly A's and B's." TECHNICALLY I have mostly A's and B's but still....

Other:
-I had an article published in a national magazine

Additional Info:
-I want to be an English major
-I'm in state

They accept 60% of students, I believe college board said last year they accepted 13,705 out of 22, 864 applicants. I'm so nervous. I can't even imagine what about me would make me get in over the 9,000ish rejected applicants....this is not a fun time haha

Anyone chance me and leave a link to your chance thread. :D
