You guys can suggest more colleges! =) btw, I'm thinking about apply to JHU through ED

rice - low reach
cornell - reach
NYU - low reach
stonybrook - safety
uchicago - low reach
jhu - low reach
boston u - match
northwestern - high match
columbia - reach
barnard - not sure
brown - reach
georgetown - reach
binghamton - match
duke - reach
upenn - reach

JHU ED would be a match, i think you would be able to do it.
Try to improve the test scores, and you stand a much better chance!

Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1178534-help-chance-me-columbia-princeton-nyu-s.html</a></p>

rice - High Reach
cornell -High Reach
NYU - Reach
stonybrook - Match
uchicago - High Reach
jhu - High Reach
boston u - Match
northwestern - High Reach
columbia - High Reach
barnard - Reach
brown - High Reach
georgetown - High Reach
binghamton - Match
duke -High Reach
upenn - High Reach

Your list is unrealistic with your current scores, you have too many high reaches/reaches, and not enough match schools.

rice: unsure
cornell: reach (see below…)
NYU: match
stonybrook: safety
u of chicago: reach
jhu: slight reach (match for ED - if you want to go here i recommend it!)
boston university: safety / match
northwestern: unsure
columbia: high reach
barnard: slight reach (somewhat unsure)
brown: reach
georgetown: slight reach
binghamton: match / safety
duke: slight reach
upenn: reach

also - are you from NY (i noticed you had some suny schools) because in that case i would consider cornell a match / slight reach simply because i know so many people from ny who get into cornell with stats like you (probably because of the land grant thing? or by chance? i dont know…)

you have a lot of reach schools and i definitely recommend going for the reach schools if you dont mind the extra fees and essays (the only people who definitely cant get in are those who dont apply!) also, i would make sure you have a lot of match / safety schools that you absolutely would love to go to!

Chance me?

duke: super reach (no one in my school got in last year and I go Byram Hills one of the top 5 schools in NY) 2270+ 35+
upenn: reach 2250+ 34+

Chance my friend please…

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1177240-chances-suggestions-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

rice - low reach
cornell - low reach/high match
NYU - high match
stonybrook - match/low match
uchicago - Of the reaches this is your best chance if you can write a really great essay. UChicago is known for accepting lower scores in lieu unique/creative kids. I also don’t know how to spell lieu.
jhu - Reach. In my opinion with ED or without.
boston u - match
northwestern - reach
columbia - high reach
barnard - low reach/high match
brown - high reach
georgetown - reach
binghamton - match
duke -reach
upenn - high reach

Biggest problem for you are the test scores. Luckily that’s also the easiest to improve. Get the SAT above 2100 or the ACT above 32 and you are improving your chances at all these places.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1179610-upenn-washu-yale-scea-duke-rising-senior-chances.html</a></p>

Chance me bro.

just a quick question…is rice harder to get into than cornell or NYU?? and also…please keep the chances comin’

rice - high match/ very low reach
cornell - reach
NYU - low reach
stonybrook - low match
uchicago - reach
jhu - reach
boston u - match
northwestern - high match
columbia - high reach
barnard - reach
brown - reach
georgetown - reach
binghamton - low match
duke - reach
upenn - reach

Rice - Low Reach
Cornell - Mid Reach
NYU - Mid Reach
Stonybrook - Low Match
UChicago - Low Reach
JHU - Mid Reach
Boston U - High Match
Northwestern - Low Reach
Columbia - High Reach
Barnard - Mid Reach
Brown - High Reach
Georgetown - Low Reach
Binghamton - Low Match
Duke - Mid Reach
UPenn - High Reach

The classes you have taken are fairly rigorous, but your scores definitely need to be improved, and your EC’s are rather typical (except for the club you mentioned–that sounds neat! I hope you write one of your essays about it). Maybe add a few more schools to your list for safety. Also, chemistry is a really broad, popular major–maybe apply to be in a really specific sector of chemistry to improve your chances.

Congrats on your accomplishments though!

Chance me, please?
