I mean eh. you might have a shot. I wouldn’t count on it. good luck in your future endeavors
Start from here. http://www.hio.harvard.edu/statistics After you narrow the parameters to your country for Harvard College, you will see how many students are from your country across all 4 classes. Divide that by 4 to get the approx number per class. Divide that number by .8 to .9 (est yield) to estimate how many are accepted each year. Here is the latest Common Data Set for Harvard. https://oir.harvard.edu/files/huoir/files/harvard_cds_2017-18.pdf. The 25th to 75th percentile of matriculated students from the last admissions cycle is EBRW 730 -790, M 730-800. I don’t believe YPM have similar by country breakdowns, but you can Google their latest CDS to get an idea of the test scores you will need to be competitive. On top of all of this, the admissions rate for internationals is much lower than for US students. My best advice for you is that getting into HYPM will be a super long shot, even assuming you make the SAT’s you project. If coming to the States is important to you, please research other options which have much better admissions rates. If financial aid is an issue, you will need to research the FA availability and generosity of your target schools.
I would say almost impossible, if not impossible, for you to get in. Keep in mind that it is way harder for international students and you don’t have IMO medals or ISEF BOC awards, registered nonprofit or made an impact on your community, and even besides that your EC’s are super weak for HYPM. I’m not trying to be harsh, I am just telling you now so that you pick much more safety schools for you to get in. Please do not do what thousands of other internationals do and focus all your efforts into HYPM and get rejected and find yourself screwed then. Apply to many safeties in the States.
but do you think it is possible?
If you hit those SAT scores and you have a compelling story that really resonates with the AO, sure it is possible. But the point is you have to be realistic about this level of schools. If you can afford it and have the time to enter in a sense 4 lotteries, why not. On the other hand, if studying in the States is your goal, you need to research and then target schools that match you academically (course of study and probability of admission) and financially.
Super reaches for everything. Admission is near impossibly. You will need really high scores at this point and outstanding essays. In addition, your ECs aren’t super strong and there are no insane awards. I’m really sorry but you should try aiming for matches and safeties as well. I would recommend Case Western, UCSB, UCSD, RPI, RIT
