Will be applying for financial aid.
intended major: biology or physics probably.
Teacher recs should be decent/good.
Counselor rec will most likely be somewhat generic, but hopefully decent.
My essay is decent in my opinion. It's not amazing, but its not awful either.

Whoops, I accidentally switched the Duke and Johns Hopkins chance scores! I still can’t get used to this glitchy CC mobile app. :)

Penn technically has a lower acceptance rate than Duke, but otherwise, yes, you are correct. However, it’s not all about how many people are admitted each year. It’s also about other important things (what kind of applicants the college wants) and some silly things (e.g. prestige).

This is just my personal assessment, so take it with very little consideration. You shouldn’t apply to all of these schools; there aren’t any safeties on this list. Your application is amazing, but these are very competitive schools. At this point you should focus on how to differentiate yourself through your essays.

P.S. The assessment for UPenn and Northwestern is for RD.

Ok. Thanks beatles+frosty. Frosty- Just out of curiousity though, besides essays, is there anything my application is lacking or are you putting high reach for hyps etc because they are high reaches for everyone? Should I retake the SAT or focus on ECS or something?

Your application is amazing, but a lot of these schools are just high reaches for everyone. I think that, if you want to separate yourself from “the pack”, you should try to win a few awards (if you can) and write kick-ass essays. I’m not qualified to pick out the perfect school for you, but you should do some more research and trim this list down (people rarely apply to 10+ schools.) You should find a school that has a strong reputation in your desired field rather than just a name (i.e. it’s probably better to go to UPenn than Yale if you want business.) You should also look into EA/ED options but, unless you fall head-over-heels for a school, you shouldn’t do ED.

Thanks LaLa and Frosty btw . Raichu, at my school AP classes count as 6.0 and honors count as 5.0 (if you get an A in the class, that is). That’s basically why my GPA is above 5.0.
