Chance me Loyola Chicago, Ohio State, NYU, Creighton, Loyola Marymount

I’m currently a junior but am worrying about my chances at a lot of schools. A long list of schools I will likely be applying to (in no particular order): Loyola University Chicago, Ohio State University, Creighton University (legacy), New York University, Loyola Marymount University

I am a white female student (upper middle class) from Iowa

GPA: 3.55 UW (working on getting that up to 3.6 by the time of application) 3.9 W (although my school does not report weighted GPAs)
ACT: 26 Composite 33 English 30 Reading 23 Science 18 Math 24 Writing (retaking, hoping to get at least a 28)

I’m in a dual enrollment program that will give me 40 hours of college credit when I graduate (13 college courses over the course of high school)
APs: AP English and Composition, AP Government

Extra/co-curriculars:

Band (4 years)
Concert band, Marching band (Drum Major 2 years), Pep band

Theatre (4 years)
Honor Thespian member of the International Thespian Society, Drama Club Vice President, Stage Management

Show choir pit member 4 years
National Honor Society member 2 years
School Ambassador 3 years

Thank you!!!

I’m not sure about the others but I really don’t see a chance with NYU. If you can get your test score up that would help a lot. Best of luck!

Yup, it’s a reach. Thank you!!

I don’t see why you couldn’t get into NYU. The average GPA among freshmen is 3.5. Although your ACT is a little below average, you can certainly improve next time you take it and it’s not like they don’t accept people with weak ACTs. I’m sure you’ll have no problem getting into the others, though.
