Chance Me: Northeastern? Can I get academic scholarship/honors college?

Hi! I’m posting this here, I think I posted it in the wrong spot before. I’m a high school senior looking for opinions about my acceptance chances to NEU in Boston, MA. I would, most likely, pursue a major in either biology or hospital administration/management.

I plan to apply EA so I have a chance at academic aid, but it really is my top school so I’m still considering ED. But, I also don’t like the contractual confinement of ED.

Application
-Solid college essay, very solid supplements. This area is my strong suit. I know very few essays truly catch admission office eyes, but at the least my essay is not bad/detrimental to my application.
-Two solid recommendations, very close with each teacher. One is notorious for great letters.

Sorry, this is a lot of information. But, Northeastern is my number one choice (followed closely by UPenn). I really want to get in which makes me lean toward early decision. However, I want a shot at academic aid/scholarship, which they offer to roughly the top 25% of the overall applicant pool, and from what I’ve read, they typically don’t offer aid to early decision candidates. So, should I apply early action or early decision? Do I have a chance of being in the top 25% of the pool? And what are my chances of getting in?

I think you’ll get some money, but I’m not sure about the honors college… It’ll be a close cut. A girl from my school got into the honors college last year with a 3.93 and 33 ACT. I’m trying to get in with a 4.0 and 34 ACT. Good luck!!

I agree with the above commenter. ^^ you’ve got a shot, the only thing maybe pulling you down is the ACT but I’m sure you’ll get money. Then again, I’m a high school senior too, so what do I know. Does NEU only give merit aid to EA appliers or RD also?
