Thank you!

Duke and Penn are probably going to be reaches.
Amherst, Cornell and Vanderbilt will be low reaches.
NU ED is a high match.

Bump

The fact that both your sisters are attending NU means a lot and will probably help you out. Maybe you should ask them instead about your chances, since they already got in

As an international student, these will Al be high reaches.

Bump

You have a great chance at all these schools. Just remember that all of them are very selective colleges so you may not get into your top choice.
BTW, do mean to say that you played for your country in the U16 category? If that is the case then you might get in everywhere.

@humblefool No, i mean I played for a U16 team that went around the country. Not internationally. Thanks for the post

Ok that great too!

wait… so being asian is still considered a minority?

Your chances are great for Northwestern ED. Focus on the legacy connection.

Why aren’t you applying to any UK schools as a backup?

@sgopal2 I am applying to UK as a backup

@asiandoctor I dunno, i just saw minority status and put my race.

@lellywang‌ Being Asian is a minority but it is over represented. So it will not help in the process

Bump

The fact that you will not ask for financial aid puts you at great advantage- especially at the need aware schools. I think you have a very decent shot at most schools that are need aware- they oreger intl students that can pay. The need blind ones may be harder.
