<p>I'm a junior applying to NYU ED next year. Currently can't decide between Stern for Marketing and CAS (to be safe). I'm not very math focused-part of the appeal of marketing-so I'm wondering if that will hurt my chances at Stern:</p>

Top 7% of class</p>
<p>8 APs, honors classes when available
Public high school; some grads go to competitive colleges</p>
<p>ACT: 34</p>
<p>ECs:
Swimming-Freshman and sophomore year. Varsity. State ranked, national qualifier, winner of Most Improved award
Ultimate Frisbee-9, 11.
National Honors Society-11,12
French Honors Society-9,10,11,12
Forensics/Stage Crew-10,11
Part Time Job-10,11,12 and summers</p>
<p>Volunteering:
Working with/teaching reading to disadvantaged kids-30 hours
Tutoring inner-city kids-20 hours</p>

<p>Decided that I wanted a break from my midwestern public high school, so I applied to and was accepted to a prestigious private school in Washington DC. Moved there by myself for a semester (1st semester junior year) and lived with family in the area. </p>
<p>Let me know what you think my chances are :)</p>
