Letters of Rec: Fantastic, couldn't be any better.
Essay: Great, really heartfelt and I felt as if it showed a lot about my character and who I am as a person.

Major will be business-related, if that makes a difference.

If you applied EA, you have a very good chance of getting in. If you are applying RD, I still like your chances, but they will not be quite as good.

@red ipsa: Many years of hard work, late nights studying, and stress that, at some times, I feel as if will never disappear. I tend to over-think things and I just don’t want all the hard work to go to waste. I’m just kind of worried considering my OOS status.

Last question! I understand that preferred admission for Ross is a reach for me, but I do however plan on applying for Ross entering my sophomore year. How tough is it to get in? Business has been a passion for me my entire life, and getting into Ross is my entire (academic) purpose behind applying here in the first place. I’d hate to attend Michigan my freshmen year, and then not be accepted into Ross. I honestly have no idea what I would do at this point…

I don’t know what the admissions odds are for Ross applicants who apply as freshman but you are a good student and if you perform in college like you have in high school you have a reasonably good chance of getting in. You have a chance for pre admit but I think that is a reach for everyone. I would not consider getting into the Ross program the be all and end all of all things because there are so many opportunities at U-M for those who seek them and there are many successful businessmen who never went to business school.

Very good GPA

Good ACT

ECs could be stronger - you haven’t spent more than 2 years in one but the leadership helps

Business-related awards (DECA) should help with Ross
