I am OOS from Illinois.
Here are my Stats:
GPA UW: 3.87 (most rigorous classes)
ACT: 33

ECs...DECA
Entrepreneurship Franchising - 1st place in state, qualified for internationals (2012)
Retail Merchandising - 2nd place in Regionals (2013), Top 10 in State (2012, 2013)
Entrepreneurship Franchising - 4th place in state, qualified for internationals (2013)
Entrepreneurship Franchising - Finalist, Top 10 in International competition
I was the President of my school DECA club this year (2012-2013 school year)

I was also involved in M3..which is a freshman mentor program in my school. Next year I will mentor a group of economically disadvantaged kids.

National Honors Society (looking for leadership position for next year)

Volunteering at Hospital (50 hours)
I play the Tabla (Indian percussion instrument...idk, adds diversity?)

Assume solid essays and recommendations (at least on par with other Ross hopefuls).

SO....how would you say my chances look? Also, how are my chances for Michigan LSA in general? (and honors program)
Thank you!

Assuming that your coursework is as rigorous as you claim and that are other ECs that you haven’t listed—random DECA and FBLA awards are probably barely cutting it here—, I would say it’s a high match.

I cannot tell how is your course load. How many AP did you take? Just by your GPA (slightly above average) and ACT (at 75%), you should be a match for LSA. With their acceptance rate at 37% last year, I would not say you be in for sure. For Ross, it is much more competitive. From the students that I know who got admitted into Ross as freshman directly, they have better credential than you. Nevertheless, there is still a chance to enter Ross at sophomore although it is very competitive.
