SAT score: only took once 1710 (I never took a practice or the psat test before or really studied for its because all my friends were saying that it was like the STAR test but now I wish I had and I will retake it in Oct.)

SAT score: Math 2: 630
AP US history: 590
I’ll retake these in Nov.

Other stuff: I have a job at Jack in the Box
I’ve played volleyball 4 years straight
played football for 2 years
I did karate when younger and had a red-black belt
I was born in India so I had to learn English
I going to to hopefully do some community service my senior year

What are my chances???
Major:Biomedical Engineering: Premedical

I’d say you have a pretty solid chance. If you are going to mention extra-curricular activities from when you were little, they are only valid if you STILL do them. So if you still do karate, then you can include it. I know my friend included in his EC his 9+ years of piano; he still plays in concerts etc.

Your grades have no problems as far as I can see from here. SAT score should improve a bit. Like I said in another chance thread, you will want about an 1800 for UCD admission, considering you’re doing okay in everything else. Math 2 score is fairly good. APUSH should improve some more. I recommend reading “crash course” for the SAT history test as a supplement to your overall review.

I’ll throw out a number, if that makes you feel better. 85%
Bottomline: Do your best to bump up your SAT and SAT subject tests. Take them every chance you get. If your family has low income, you can get fee waivers for all the tests, so that’s pretty cool. Best of luck, and let me know if you have any further questions.

Another note: If you are going to do community service, make sure you do 100+. Don’t quote me on this, but I remember someone saying that you don’t get “bonus” points for volunteering under 100 hours. The UC uses a point scale with a long list of criteria for admissions. Just a sidenote. Good luck to you!

I 'd say “welcome to Davis”
Everyone else can pinpoint little details that will help but I’d say keep up the good work, find fulfilling community service opportunities, and keep challenging yourself. I know nothing about modern SAT scores since i took them a while back so I am not much help there. I know that probably sounds generic but this is my first chancing (I know not a word) attempt. Your plea caught my attention lol.

You have great grades, but your test scores are very subpar. At least a 1800 and 650s to be considered for admission.

definitely raise your sat scores.
try act, it might be easier.

your majors that you picked are quite impacted… so i would apply for a different major just to be safe.
