chance me please! CEHD

hi, i have a 3.11 uw gpa and a 27 on the ACT I applied to CEHD as a sport management major, also I have had a lot of work experience, should have a good recommendation, and I applied on july 9, just wondering my chances and when we all should be hearing back??
thank you very much

buummmpppp

I’m not too familiar with CEHD, but I’d say you have something like a 50/50 shot. BTW, I didn’t know you could send in recs?

As for when you will hear back, my counselor was told by the U that December 1st would be the earliest, and this would be only for candidates who are clearly in or clearly out. Everyone else will hear back sometime before Feb 15th. When exaxtly, your guess is as good as mine.

haha thank you anyone familiar with CEHD have any ideas??

December 1st certainly is not the earliest you could hear back. I got my notification sometime in late October or early November. For students that aren’t clearly in or out and that applied early (like yourself), I would expect sometime in November (probably later in the month). You are supposed to hear back within 10 weeks of when the processing begins.

^
Oh wow congratz, your the first that I’ve heard to get accepted into University of Minnesota.

i think he applied last year because he says he got it in late october or early november (probably november 2008)

This is the message that was on my application tracker and it makes it sound like December 1st is the earliest that anyone would find out.
“All of your required application materials have been received by the December 15 priority deadline. Thank you! Admission decisions are sent on a rolling basis. Some decisions are sent as early as December, with all students who submit complete applications by the priority deadline receiving their decisions by the end of February. We will complete a very careful, overall assessment of your application and your decision will be mailed no later than the end of February.”

Yeah I misunderstood the post.
