Your scores meet the range for BC, but your extracurricular doesn’t really stand out for me. BC receives a ton of applications from student athletes, so you may need something more to stand out from the crowd. Write a killer essay and you’ll have a great shot! Good luck.

Dear mvm : Your compositive board scores in both the SAT and ACT are both upper quartile performances. That said, the english score on the ACT (25) is really low for Boston College and your SAT (650) reading score makes a strong statement. Honestly, neither exam outshines the other which is why your selection to give you worst score is puzzling. We also question how you were able to achieve a superior English AP score (5) with this range of reading test results. We are also wondering why there is only one SAT II exam listed as generally, students will take two or three of these subject tests.

Your GPA is on par with acceptance although we might have expected a larger score from the weighted average given the number of AP exams/courses taken.

If one was to remove the section on your crew sports experience, your profile is virtually devoid of any other details. While crew at BC is big (particularly on the women’s side), you are lacking leadership and immersion into your high school experience that most other applications will demonstrate. Music, fine arts, volunteerism, community engagement, and to a large extent, clubs are all missing from your profile. You might want to give some thought as to whether these are oversights from this profile or truly missing from your background.

Dear mvm : Apologies in advance as the section covering your volunteerism was missed in my first reading of your profile (fell on a page break for me). Still, give consideration to some of the other High School immersion points raised.
