I am in the Science Research Program at my school…
What are my chances for a BS/MD Program such as Stony Brook’s?
Do I have a good chance of being admitted of being called for an Interview?
*Also, do I have a good Chance for Ivies??(Cornell,Columbia etc)
Again, All help will be appreciated by my fellow CC’ers!!!
Yes you have a good shot at all of the ivies since you have amazing ECs and test scores, most of them would be matches except HYP which would all be high matches. Your chances for less known BS/MD programs like Stony Brook, UMiami, and Drexel would be a low reach. Your chances for HPME and PLME would be reaches but definitely possible. Good shadowing experience.
you have a pretty good chance at ivies. your sat is amazing and gpa is good. but the downside is your math and chem… a 730 in math L2 is very low. your activities are great. but, it all depends on your major… if you are applying for engineering, im afraid because of your science and math. but if youre doing medical, you have a really good shot with your 770s. dont only rely on ivies, alos apply to some safety schools
So I have no idea about bs/md programs. I like how your ecs have a strong relationship in that they’re all medically focused. However. Your GPA seems very low for ivies, so Id be pretty surprised if you got in honestly. Additionally, your SAT is fantastic, but your SAT IIs are quite low. Anyway, best of luck.
bs/mds and ivies you have decent shots, both you have a decent chance of either getting in or denied, they are both a reach for anybody. I myself have applied to many bs/mds, didn’t get an interview at st. bonaventure, but I just got an email saying I made it to the second stage of the process for the seven year george washington one, gotta do ANOTHER essay, anyway, good luck.
I’d say reach for Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Penn because of the very weak courseload and SAT IIs. The Standout things are your test scores(SAT I) and ECs. Being over represented won’t help either. Good luck!
I’ll take it one by one:
Harvard: Reach, probably 35% chance of admission which is high compared to 5%
Yale: Reach
Princeton: Reach
Dartmouth: Low Reach-Low Match
UPenn: Reach
Brown: Low Reach-Low Match
Cornell: I almost want to say Match, but Low Reach
Columbia: Reach-Low Reach
