WYSE Team will be my 3rd year got 1st place overall for regionals and sectionals for computer science, and recieved second place overall in engineering graphics last year and got 3rd place for sectionals for computer science my soph year

FBLA my first year of doing it due to my old school (fresh/soph years) didn’t offer it

Cross Country just finished 3rd year of doing it

Track: Will be my fourth year of doing it

Unfortunately I have not done really any volunteer work due to my social anxiety(berate me I know), and my parent’s ongoing divorce made me depressed during the beginning of my junior year to the end of it along with close personal friend that died, and also moving houses to a different town, hoping to change that this year… Is there anyway to explain this?

During my Junior Year my cumulative GPA dropped by 0.3 overall due to reasons above, and the 7point grading scale the school I go to uses instead of the 10 I was used to, is there any way to explain this or there no excuse for it?

Work:
1st job: averaged 10hr/week for almost 2 years now
2nd job: averaged 15hr/week for 2 months (was let go due to slow down)

*edit and grading scale is 7point not 10

CS is one of the most popular majors at UIUC. The ACT/SAT and GPA are low for UIUC, and I’m not sure of the WYCE awards will make up for it. Purdue may be a stretch too. You have a better shot at Indiana, Iowa and Truman. Good luck!

Thank you for your insight @JonathanK if anyone else cold add in also that would be wonderful.

Bump

What state do you live in? Can you afford out of state tuition for the schools listed if you don’t live in those states?

I think JonathanK’s assessment of chances is about right.

I live in Illinois, and I plan to get by with loans
