Looking to get into some pretty competitive schools. Stanford's my top choice, love Harvard, Berkeley, etc.

Only a sophomore, but if I continue on my current path, can I get in to Stanford-level schools?

Advice greatly appreciated!!!

Raise your SAT to 2200 at least. You will then have a shot at all the ivies. All will still be reaches except Cornell (high match), but you will greatly improve your chances.

Great academics, could use some more work experience or volunteering (but only do it if you’re going to enjoy yourself, not cause it looks good) I think you’re in the range for those schools it’s just a matter of tossing your hat into the ring and seeing what you get out of it.

Thanks for the advice!

I will definitely try to raise my SATs to 2200. But what schools am I looking at if I don’t?

Also, I’m worried that I will not get all A’s with my Full IB schedule in the next two years. How will this affect me?

Finally, are my EC’s good? Need I do any more or find more of a focus?

I think if you improve your SAT’s you should be good! Chance back?

kobe123358 do you think i can get into stanford if i improve my scores? or am i just competitive there?

and i just chanced you back :)

Stanford is too unpredictable to tell. Usually I think you need a super special skill like piano to get in (my piano teacher had a couple students go to Stanford because there piano playing was very good.)

makes sense  i’d say thats what debate is for me but its still nothing super unique or special… hoping for the best though :)

Bumppppppppppp

Bumppppppppppp

LOL you say it’s for a friend then…

Your friend’s schoolwork is good…keep that up…
Besides, bump up your SAT a bit…or give ACT a shot!
