JEEZ all you youngins coming on to get "advice" when you really just want your ego stroked. Honestly you are on the right track but you need to try to bring up your GPA and do some more community service. Your ECs are weak so try to get more involved. If you were to achieve those marks all the Ivies would be reach along with NYU, and BC USC JH would be good matches.

Cboryca22, I'm not sure if your attitude is one which you would appreciate if someone commented on your thread like that. I'm a junior in high school - if I don't think about college now, how am I supposed to be a candidate for the top colleges? Do you suggest that those who apply to the 4th Tier colleges start thinking about colleges during senior year and even those who consider applying for the TOP 20 COLLEGES IN THE WORLD consider their choices about colleges during SENIOR year as well?

My intention is not to get my 'ego stroked.' I've been visiting the boards at College Confidential and have seen the great qualifications of countless candidates for the top colleges. Therefore, I'm posting because I have a genuine fear of not getting accepted into a top college. I'm posting so I can get some advice, so to alter the path I'm taking now.

And to "hello," I've been playing the drums for the past 6 years.

If anyone has constructive advice (what type of EC's I should be looking into), I'd appreciate the help. I'm sure that when you were juniors, in my position, you'd have wanted/or probably did seek advice as well. Thanks for your help in advance.
