Chance me please? For U of T Rotman Commerce

I am from Bolivia and would be considered as a prospective International applicant. My school follows a dual American and Bolivian Curricula. I am anticipating to graduate with both Bolivian Diploma and College Prep.

GPA: Unweighted 4.0

Class Ranking: Exact First (Technically First, but I am fighting for valedictorian between mainly me and one other guy)

SAT I: Superscore:1650. In one sitting:1650. Math:590 Writing:550 Critical Reading:510
SAT II: Took Math II and Spanish. Result come out tomorrow DEC 22
Advance Placement: took all that are non-online and available at my school AP Spanish Lang. (score:5), Taking AP Spanish Lit. and AP English Lit.
ACT: composite: 22 did not pay much attention to it. Should of. Thinking not to submit.

Bolivian Curriculum covers more than College Prep.
-8 semesters of English (English 9, Writing & public speaking, American Lit, AP English Lit)
-8 semesters of Math (ALL SAXON: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Advance Math, Calculus)
-8 semesters of Science (Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics - All include lab)
-8 semesters of Bible (Old Test., New Test., Church History, Christian WV & Apologetic.)
-8 semesters of Social Studies (Ancient World History, US History, Civics, Bolivian History, Life Skill)
-8 semesters of Spanish: (Test out 2 years, AP Spanish Lang, AP Spanish Lit.)
-Other (number of semester in parenthesis): Psychology (1), First Aid (1), Drama (2), ART (6), Computer (1), P.E. (1)

Extra Curricular:
-Class President (Junior & Senior Year)
-Class Treasurer (Freshman Year & Sophomore Year)
-Work experience from Local Clothing Retailer (Manager and Cashier)
-Soccer Team (Freshman, Junior, and Senior Year)
-Track and Field Team (All four years)
-Volleyball Team ( Sophomore Year)
-Chapel Worship Team Choir (Junior and Senior Year)
-Basic French Class (Sophomore Year)
-Volunteering 50hrs: Painting Murals for churches & helping do maintenance to the local Zoo

-I know this is not extracurricular, but:
-In Drama/theater class I was in charge of the publicity department and taking Stage Manager next semester
-In ART I did numerous art pieces: sculpture with light source made of wire covered with canvas, murals, paintings, etc.

I feel like my weaknesses are SAT scores. I am still sending them to U of T, but I am hoping that it wont affect much. Will it? Also I feel that my volunteer hours are so little. Because unlike Canadian curricula, I don't require them to graduate.

With this brief description of my work, how much chance do you think I have to get into U of T?

If you are from and living in Bolivia and applying from there, U of T will not likely ask for the SAT’s you say are your weakness. they generally seek these from U.S students only. Also they don’t look at EC activities. They are looking at your GPA and English proficiency and Bachillerato/Bachiller + University Entrance Exam (if written), with excellent results. Remember applying to a Canuck school is not like applying to U.S schools. If I knew what program you were applying to I could provide more feedback.

Thank you for the response Ivyleaguer. I did titled this thread as “… For U of T Rotman commerce” I want to get into the University of Toronto’s Business program. I am planning on calling their office as well. However my concern is that my school offers American College Prep diploma… I am trying to stay positive… I never imaged that my senior year was gonna be so stressful with all the college and finishing high school strong thing… T.T

Just for my own reference… if you happen to be familiar with Canadian Unis, would I be a decent applicant? bellow?

Hi, I’m a Canadian student from Vancouver.
I’m in my 11th year and started wondering about colleges nowadays.
Unlike the strict American Universities, Canadian Universities are much more tolerant and accepting in their admission.
My gpa is around 3.5~3.7 ish (though grade 12 year is the most important)
and I probably will get accepted to most of the schools in Canada when I apply (including Business, etc).
All top Canadian schools don’t require any fancy extracurricular activities, and advanced placement tests. All you need are a decent mark in GRADE 12 YEAR (85~95) and a good English proficiency, of which I already saw from your post.
Yes, I said it. Just your grade point average and the ability to speak English.
Come on, are you kidding me?? You’ll make it through any universities in Canada 100%!!
If I were you, I would definitely aim for the tough American schools since they have better/higher education! (just an opinion)
Well, that’s it! If you want the Rotman Program, you will make it.
Good luck on your path to future!

p.s. I once did all the SATs and APs to prepare for American ones, but lots of my e.c. lacked, so I’mma aim for Korean universities XD

JCYY06, sorry I sometimes click a thread without reading the title. Bad habit. for business the same rules apply accept you would be required to submit certain high school prerequisites, which I assume are math related and you would have to fill out a personal statement. You might want to consider Scarborough campus, they generally have a stronger business program as it’s co-op focused. You will need a supplemental application for Scarborough however. Hope this is good news, the admissions office should be able to clarify further.
