im applying for engineering school
and i have two questions
if i apply for early decision and dont make it b/c of my test scores
can i apply for regular when i get better test scores
and for act do they only look at composite scores or do they look at score for each section?

I’d say a good match.
You are from a state that Michigan would like to see more of though.
However, that ACT should be a little higher for safety. Shoot for a 31.

As for “Early Decision” —Michigan does not have ED. It has this Early Response program which is pretty cool and is with the rolling process. However, if you apply and they REJECT YOU, you cannot re-apply. Rejected–you’re rejected. However, if you are deferred, you might want to check with UMich but I believe they’ll allow you to send improved scores to up your chances.

Good luck!

–Credentials:
I live in Michigan and go to a school who sends the most students to the University of Michigan in the world.

I agree with mchayeahh. Here’s the latest (I think) admitted engineering profile.
