Chance me, please! I shall chance you in return.

a little more leadership positions is always a nice thing but most of those colleges you listed you have a solid chance for. i do feel that columbia and brown will be super reaches but who knows with great essays and recs it just might work out for you!

Thanks, everyone!

To answer some questions:

Yes, I have been recruited to some colleges… I actually just sent back about 7 or 8 letters today, and I’m meeting with a coach in a few hours.
My personal bests are:
5k: 18:02
1600: 5:01
3200: 10:54
800: 2:15

*For the person who asked about my AP scores, I’ve gotten 5s on the two that I took freshman/sophomore year, and am waiting to receive my 5 scores this year by mail. I’m expecting at least three fives and hopefully the rest fours.
*I’m hoping that founding a club will help me out for leadership positions. It specifically helps to rebuild schools in Uganda through a program called Schools for Schools.

Thank you so much, everyone!!

sorry to disappoint you but i don’t think your stats are going to help you too much at getting in. (coming from a very strong x-country school, our entire varsity team [the top 7] runs under 4:30, top 2 guys are 4:18 for 1600s) Then again…i might just be a bid biased…

But your academic stats by themselves should be strong enough to get you into most of those schools. So I wouldn’t worry about it too much, besides, a strong sports as an EC looks great on applications (especially if you got all those state awards)

Freezingbeast, I am a girl…

OOOO SORRY HAHAHAHAHAHA FAIL on my part>_>
ignore me i’m being ■■■■■■■■

I apologize >.<

completely ignore my last post please.

Hahahah its okay, fb. I just wanted to make sure you knew that before you were like, “wow. that person is slightly delusional.” But, its my fault, I should have made it more clear. :)

Excellent chances at all of them, and if you ED to Columbia, you’d have an excellent chance there as well.

PS. is a 4.51 (4.0 unweighted) really low? I mean, I’ve gotten all A’s all through High school…

WOW, it’s great.
Best of luck to you.
ACT could be a little higher, though.

Thanks henrymore… I think I misunderstood some one else’s post about the gpa thing.

Gah I wish I had gotten that 34… stupid math. Ugh.

I honestly think that you have an excellent chance into getting in to all of the colleges above, especially since you’re one of the top runners in your state.

Good rank and rigorous schedule. You’re in at Vanderbilt, Wake, Davidson, and Furman, with Georgetown,Brown, Columbia being reaches. If you decide to ED to either Brown or Columbia, you have a good shot at getting in.

A little late, but I just want to commend you on those times. They are very good for a female and I think you should be recruited. Freezingbeast, I initially thought she was a guy as well and was like,“wow, those times are getting him recruited??” My school also have seven guys under 4:30s with one at a 4:14 and 7 guys in the 15:30-16:30 5k range’
