Business Enterprise (honors) (going to go to a city wide competition, hopefully nationals; these competitions will be in spring 2012 though)

(Only took honors or AP classes from the 9th grade; (took 2 non-honor classes, just for Spanish lol. And senior year English because that is all my school offers) </p>

<p>Program:
I’m in a science and math program called Carl Sagan. It’s the best program my school has to offer. We do research on plants, write research papers, present at science fairs etc. (Applied to the New York Science and Engineering Fair: one of the 200 accepted out of 1000 applicants. Did not go pass the preliminary rounds. If I went to the round after the preliminaries, I would have met Obama lol) </p>

<p>Sports:
Varsity Volleyball – 11/12 (co-captain)</p>

<p>Clubs/Teams:
President of Chess Club - 2 years
Key Club - 3 years
Red Cross Club – 3 years (Secretary 12th grade)
Math Team – 2 years </p>

<p>Volunteer work:
Hospital Internship – 110+ hours
Religious program – I play the drums for religious music - meets every Friday for 4 hours (I’ve been in the program since I was 10)
Temple – I participate in youth programs at my temple – I go every Sunday for 4 hours (I’ve been going to my temple since I was born, literally lol)</p>

<p>Honor Societies:
National Honor Society 2 years</p>

<p>Recommendations:
1) AP Biology teacher (got a 5 on the test, 88 in the class) I am very close to him, He is also a supervisor in Carl Sagan (the math/science program I am in) where we bonded a lot. We are basically have a friend relationship, student/teacher relationship only during class.
2) The Assistant Principal of Math. She was my teacher for Trigonometry during my sophomore year. She will write only good things about me </p>

<p>I guess my major weakness is my UNWEIGHTED GPA : (
Also would will my Extracurricular load hurt me?</p>

<p>PSU, NE, and BU are almost about definite. Wharton is definitely toughest on that list followed by Dartmouth.</p>

<p>May I ask why you are so interested in business schools? Your ECs and recommendations give off the impression that you are more a science-oriented person. This may work against you in admissions … you say you want to go to UPenn/Wharton Have you considered applying to their Vagelos or M&T program? You can combine both business and science/engineering there!! (:</p>

and like nutellagirl says, the scientific EC doesnt help business major much
also i think u will have to send all AP scores.
all of the schools are reached, sorry man dont be depressed.</p>

<p>i’m applying RD because im taking the act in december.</p>

<p>i was in a science and math program from 9-11 grade. it was binding.
this year is the only time i can get out of it, i really like buisness.</p>

<p>my gpa sucks ass :(</p>

<p>will i have a chance even if my recs will be better than SUPERB and my essay is going to kickass?</p>
