I’ll look at your objectives, because I have no idea regarding the subjectives. :P

Your scores are on the low side for Dartmouth. Furthermore, your school had many APs, but you only took a handful; why?

The one way to be sure you won’t get in is not to apply. That said: your GPA is okay. Your course selection is weak for a school of D’s level of selectivity, as are your scores. Your ECs appear mediocre. I would say that your chances are not good unless there is something you have not revealed here.

If D is going to be your reach school, by all means give it a shot. But make sure to put together a list with a couple of safeties–including financial safeties–as well as matches.

All highly selective schools (Ivies et al) will be a real stretch, without higher numbers. But you ‘miss every shot that you don’t take’ (Gretzky).

Good luck.

No chance. Apply to the UCs

I think that you should apply if it would make you happy to go to Dartmouth. With that being said, it’s hard to get into when you are extremely qualified, it’s even harder when some of your scores are not up to the level they should be.

Best of luck! I hope that you apply and are accepted!
