Chance Me, Please! (International Student)

Schools: Lots of Different Schools, ex: NYU, Bryn Mawr, Duke, Washington University at Saint Louis, Indiana Bloomington (< the ones I am mainly hoping for)

Country of Origin: Kuwait

Financial Aid not required

Grades:
GPA: 3.66 (Weighted) (the low GPA is due to my freshman year. However I am in the IB Diploma program right now, so I hope that'll help)

IB Diploma:
IB English (predicted: 7)
IB Arabic (predicted: 6)
IB Business and Management (predicted: 6)
IB Environmental Systems and Societies (predicted: 6)
IB Math Studies (predicted: 7)
IB History (predicted: 7)

My grades while in the IB Diploma program have been very good. My non-IB classes that I have to take, as required by the government (Islam Studies, Arabic) have a big effect on my low grades. I'm hoping I can find a way to explain that to universities :/

SAT: 1740
Rank: My school doesn't rank

Recommendations:

IB English teacher: (see above)
IB Business/IB Environmental teacher: Very good as well

I'm very worried about my SAT score. Definitely not as high as I would've hoped. Praying that the ECs and the IB Diploma manages to smooth things over. What do you think?

Duke, Washington University at Saint Louis: very unlikely due to GPA and SAT score.
Bryn Mawr: Unlikely

Others I’m not sure.

What are your SAT Subject Tests scores, by the way?

Didn’t take SAT subject scores. I’ve called all the universities that asked for them and they said that I would be fine. Bryn Mawr wasn’t very forgiving, though - you’re right, I mostly applied because I’ve been with that college for a long time.

I’m hoping the University of Michigan (which I’m also applying to) and Indiana Bloomington will accept me at least.

I’m also going to be applying to the University of Arizona, University of Iowa and Ohio State. Thoughts on these unis?

Bump?
Please?
