You’re definitely a competitive candidate at any school with your GPA/SAT scores. What i don’t understand is how you’re rank is 30, and you have a 3.88?! jeez, you must have a smart class! haha. That shouldn’t hurt your chance, though. Your EC’s are really good too!

Dartmouth - reach (i’d say you have a good chance, Ivy’s aren’t safe for anyone though)

1) When you were in the ‘middle-eastern country’ visiting family, did you learn anything? did you work? It doesn’t matter where in the world you are - you can still be doing something.
2) Why did you take ‘Sports Med’? Just because it was a science?

I think you are on target for all of your schools, just make sure you don’t try and shortcut anything.

@totallyawesome I read a lot, did photography, and hit the gym. I also travelled extensively throughout the country. I took Sports Medicine because it sounded cool and because becoming a physician sounded cool at the time. Even though I kind of regret taking it, I learned a lot. It’s a shame it’s not honors or AP because it definitely was harder than some of those classes.

@cool5s I think i should clarify. I didn’t “see” patients so much as I shadowed for that part of the internship. I didn’t really have any contact with patients.
