Other things you should know:
I am applying Early Decision I. I love this school. I have visited the school 3 times so far. Twice for tours, and once for the VIEW program. I plan on visiting two more times. One more for an interview, and another for Senior open house. I have been emailing back and forth with my admissions rep about Lehigh. I also have a letter of rec from an alumn. Also, my guidence counselor knows me very well and will write an excellent letter. I want to apply for the CSB program, yet I do not know how hard it will be to get into. Is it harder than any other college at Lehigh? And If I do not get into it, would I still be considered for general admission to lehigh? If I woudn’t get in, I would want to major in CS at the Engineering school. Please Chance me and leave me as much feedback! Thanks!
Wow! You have done really well! I assume you aren’t going to expect a lot of financial aid. If financial aid isn’t important I think it would be really smart for you to apply early decision. I would think you would have a really really strong chance to get accepted.
If you end up majoring in CS you can also get a minor in business. It would be a little bit like the CSB program.
You sound like a person who would be a great fit for Lehigh and would have a lot to contribute to the school! Lehigh would be lucky to have you!!! Make sure your visits have been documented!
Best of luck to you!!! Please let us know if you get in!!!
did you get in? my stats are similar to yours and im curious to know! I’m a junior this year and would love to have a better understanding of my chances (:
@class0f2017@xxvivianxx I applied for CSB and did not get admitted. My freshman year I will be in the school of arts and science. Depending on how that year goes, I will either transfer into CSB or the business school come my Sophomore year.
so is CSB harder to get into than their business school? I was hoping that because I’m a female, I would have an advantage for getting into program in STEM. but I’m not sure! do you know how many people get admitted into the CSB program?
@atrani That’s very surprising. Your numbers seem to be on the higher end for Lehigh and your ECs are pretty good. The only things I can think of are you don’t have any super strong ECs and your background(white male from NJ) is very common for Lehigh. My stats are a little bit higher than yours(~97-98 unweighted, 1400 PSAT this year) and I thought I could consider Lehigh match/low match ED for CSB. Thanks for the update.
The CSB program is very difficult to get into and hard to complete too. Atrani got into Lehigh with those stats but the CSB is very selective
and the IBE program is even more selective than the CSB.
There are many students that dont get into either of those programs for their first year but still get into Lehigh
Every CSB applicant will be asked to apply to an alternative college if not accepted into CSB. I Chose arts and science…i wish i chose business school but it really does not matter because transferring colleges within Lehigh after freshman year is very easy!
