Well, hope this time someone could reply......
I'm gonna apply this year as a Statistic major.I will finish math 1A math 10 and C++ courses for UCLA prereqs. However, I am only able to finish Calculus 1B after this coming summer. I know Cal and UCLA wanna see a lot of calculus course done when the student apply. I will go to foothill college and take math 1D and math 2B during next winter quarter. I really want to know my chance to get into these two top UCs. Does it worth letting me slow down and wait another year?

I really need some help. I know I’m new to here. Please help me if you can!

no one can chance you without knowing your GPA

Is English not your first language? That could help you, I suppose.

Sorry, I forgot to tell that my GPA is 3.92. Well, it is true that English is not my first language. I just don’t get your post. Why this could help me?

Because typically if English is not your first language then you’ve overcome some obstacle in your life; even if that obstacle isn’t huge, it’s much easier to play it up if you’re not a middle-class white kid like the majority of us. Since English isn’t your strong suit though, I’d suggest getting people to look over your essays as personal statements have a pretty big impact on the decision. I think you have a good chance overall.
