Chance me PLEASE! ... okay, with a cherry on top?

Hi, I'll keep it as short and simple as I can.

Mississippi high school junior.
GPA: UW: 4.0; W: 4.2
ACT: 26 (Superscored: 27)
ECs: (Not much volunteering to speak of but will get required 75 hours before graduation)
Band (4 years)
Jazz band (4 years)
Beta Club (3 years)
Forensics/Debate (1 year)
Quiz Bowl (Scholar's Bowl) (4 years)
Sophomore class President

APs/Honors
Honors: English 1, 2, and 4; Algebra 1 and 2; Geometry
APs: World History, Economics, Government, English 3 (all the APs my school offers)

2 years of Spanish

All high A's in every class so far.

Universities I want to be "chanced" (pick any you want, you don't have to chance me on them all):

UC schools (which can I or can't I get in?)
Indiana
University of North Texas
UT-Austin
University of Minnesota
SUNY schools (which can't I get in I suppose?)
Harvard (nah, you thought I was serious about this one, didn't you?)
Rutgers
University of Wisconsin - Madison

Thanks for reviewing and chancing!

Well with your stats, you have a definitely into UC Riverside, Merced, Santa Cruz. YOu have a descent shot at UC Irvine, Davis and Santa Barbara. But no chances at UC Berkeley, LA, an San Diego. Good luck! Plus… UC apps were due on the 30th.

Thanks. I’m just keeping UCs for consideration but seeing as I haven’t taken the SAT, which they’d probably frown upon to an extent, they weren’t on the top of the list. And I’m a junior in high school. I suspect you mean UC apps are due for seniors. Thanks so much!

Alright, I’ll bump this up a little. Someone please take a kind second to chance me for other schools on the list besides UC. Thanks!

I’m highly leaning toward Indiana, UNT, U of Minn, and SUNY schools.

I agree with stong94 on the UCs. However, you can still change your chances. If your senior year course load is full of difficult classes and a clear shift to As is shown you’ll definitely have a chance at Wisconsin Madison… the thing is that right now I wouldn’t say that your GPA is high enough. I have a friend you didn’t get in and she had tons of ECs but with a 3.5 GPA. I don’t know much about the other schools however. Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1261160-please-chance-me.html

Thanks. I don’t know if most schools would or not, but wouldn’t they consider the high school classes offered too? Cause a 4.0 unweighted and roughly 4.2 weighted is as high as I can get it right now. I’m taking the most difficult classes offered and have gotten As in all of them (but nothing to brag about, honestly our school isn’t all that great with some subjects). So I wouldn’t think GPA would be a problem. If it is, that’d be an interesting situation. But thanks!
