This is my first post so any and all suggestion are welcome.

I will chance back

bump bump bump

you need at least 2 SAT subject tests for cornell

Yeah I’m planning on taking both of the math ones and maybe the english one. I took the chemistry, but I got a 560 so I rather not send that one.

I don’t recommend taking both maths. Try and get your SAT I up as well.

I don’t know much about some of these schools but right now I say probably rejected at Cornell, UNC, CMU

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/758832-chances-i-begin-my-apps.html</a></p>

C’mon give me a chance (triple entendre)

Cornell is a reach. Retake your SATs and try to get 2100+.

If you get your SAT up i think Cornell ED is a good shot for you. Wake forest is a good match, as are BC and Villanova. The rest are either slight reaches or safeties, i think you know which is which

In my honest opinion, your GPA and standardized testing stats are low for a school like Columbia. Those SAT scores are going to kill you, so definitely try to get 2200+ on your retake. It’s impressive that you are the X-country captain, but keep in mind that there are literally tens of thousands of sports captains. Without a hook, you will be at a strong disadvantage.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/746334-what-my-chances-these-liberal-arts-colleges-others.html</a></p>

Um I’m not planning on applying to Columbia, but you probably just got it mixed up with Cornell.

I think you have a decent shot at Cornell. There is nothing that really blatantly says there is no chance. Keep your hopes up

You have a decent shot, seeing at it is ED. However, I’d retake the SAT (the writing score does matter, and could boost your overall). I would NOT apply regular to Cornell though, only ED.

I think, as mentioned before, with your GPA and SAT scores, chances at cornell are only there if your doing ED (and you are, so good). But it’s still looking slim unless you increase at least your SAT. Nothing about your EC’s really stand out, but they’re safe.
and the rest:

  • Boston C - match
  • Carnegie Mellon U - good match
  • Clark U - safety/match
  • C William and Mary - reach
  • Lehigh U - match/safety
  • C New Jersey - Don’t know
  • U Delaware - safety
  • U North Car Chap Hl - Don’t know
  • U Richmond - match
  • U Virginia (Second Choice) - low reach
  • Villanova U - match/safety
  • Wake Forest U - match
    Good luck!

That’s great that you are applying to UVa. The McIntire School of Commerce is the #1 undergraduate business school in the nation as ranked by BusinessWeek magazine.

Actually I think it is number two, but yeah it is a great school.
