I have read all three of my recommendations - all are excellent.

My Common App essay is not amazing, but I think it represents my uniqueness.
Still working on the others...

What do you think? Please be honest!

Bump…

I know that no “chance” is accurate, but I’m just looking for some opinions from people who are more familiar with Ivy League-caliber schools than I am.

Do you have any idea how much of a crap shoot this stuff is? I managed to get in Pton and Columbia (supposedly has a low acceptance rate) despite being rejected by Brown/Yale and wait-listed by UChicago. One guy from my school was wait-listed by Brown (and eventually rejected) and rejected by every other Ivy-League school.

I would say that I’m not any more qualified than you to be at this school, but that’s about all I can say regarding your chances.

I’m just looking for an opinion…

particularly about the competitiveness of my SAt 1s ands 2s because no one in my school takes them. And also my ECs. In relative terms obviously…

:)

Kalthar gave you the best answer. It is too unpredictable. Apply to a bunch of schools, and make sure you have solid safeties. If you get in to an Ivy, great.

You can calculate roughly how you compare to the average student by going to one of the sites that calculates the Academic Index (there is one on this site plus at least one more, and they give slightly different scores). The average Academic Index for kids who are currently at Princeton is 228.

That doesn’t mean you’re in if you score at 228 or even 238, however. It also doesn’t mean you’re out if your score is 207. The admissions office rates candidates 50% on academics and 50% on non-academics, and there is no easy way to determine what your score will be on the non-academic side.
