Don’t give up. You have time to send out more applications and your stats will get you into many US Universities/Colleges. Good luck to you.

Thanks.
Well, since I’m pretty de facto accepted to ANY school in my country, I’ve decided to apply to less schools than I had planned to.

Final list (from the most favorite):

Swarthmore C
Williams C
Grinnell C
Bates C
Trinity C
Washington and Lee U
U of Richmond
St. Lawrence (maybe)

Those top 2 are looong reaches, but I was told to put some “dream schools” on the list…

Do you think I’ll have a chance on some of those if I can’t pay more then 12 - 15 k (depends on the exchange rate and on how well my parents’ business will be going)?

Perhaps you could post a new thread in the College Admissions section or the Parent’s section of CC regarding any questions you have about the International admissions process. I did check the Grinnell website and noticed that the Financial Aid form for Internationals is supposed to be postmarked by Jan. 2nd (today). The link is below.

Thanks for looking it up, but I already knew. I mailed it on December 30th (along with Bates FA application…) I hope I didnt make any mistake…

You’re smart. I’m sure you didn’t make any mistakes. Good luck.

cermi, Bates was probably my second choice for school behind UR. Just a bit too small and too cold for me.

I put it ahead because (as you can see from the list of my schools) I like smaller schools, and moreover, New England is my favorite part of the USA, probably because it is quite similar to Europe.

I don’t think you can go wrong with any of those schools.

I’d love to go there, but since I have many “safetie” at home, I’m not so nervous as most other students.
